Grand jury was held on January 12, 2021 in Butts County, Georgia.

The charges brought against Evans and Henderson, Jr. for the murder of Nicholas Phinazee Bryan were true billed by the grand jury. This means the jurors thought there was enough evidence to justify the charges. In layman's terms, this means the case will go to court.

Antonio Demarty Evans is charged with felony tampering with evidence.

Robert L. Henderson, Jr. is charged with Aggravated Assault, Felony Murder and Possession of Firearm during Commission of a Felony.

Alleged murderer, Robert L. Henderson, Jr. still remains without a curfew because the district attorney's office doesn't think it's necessary to try for a bond modification hearing at this point. They also don't think it's important to file certain other charges against Henderson and Evans, such as falsifying information to the police, because, according to the ADA, "It's just a 12 month misdemeanor".

The next step is Arraignment, this is where they are formally charged. We're hoping to be on the March or April calendar for arraignment.

So, we're still waiting. This is an exhausting and arduous process. Covid is making it even more painful. PLEASE, get your vaccine when you can. Help everyone get back to "normal" by doing your part! Help us get these murderer's convicted and in prison for my brother's murder.
