"The dead cannot cry out for justice. It is a duty of the living to do so for them."
WHY WE NEED JUSTICE
Nicholas "Nick" Phinazee Bryan, 27, was senselessly murdered on October 31, 2019 at the Waffle House on Hwy 36 in Jackson, Georgia. The event was captured on video and, heartbreakingly, also witnessed by Nick's mother. The accused murderers received bond and walked freely for over 2 years. The Bryan family has been through a myriad of obstacles while navigating the lamentable judicial system. After being bounced around multiple district attorney circuits since this tragedy, and finally on the third "team", there has been a bit of progress.
After over 2 years, the trial for the murder of Nicholas Phinazee Bryan finally happened November 15-23, 2021.
Accused murderer, Robert L. Henderson, Jr., was granted bond on November 12, 2019. He was released on November 21, 2019, with no curfew because the court system forgot to set a curfew time. (This negligence was addressed in December 2019 multiple times afterwards and, yet, it was never handled.)
Robert L. Henderson, Jr. is the son of Butts County Commissioner, also known as Reverend, Robert Henderson, Sr., who worked diligently to shield his son from a murder accusation. Allegedly, as it seems, Mr. Henderson Sr. may have worked closely with Judge Thomas "Tommy" H. Wilson to ensure his son made bond, just 12 days after murdering the father of a 6-year-old, on Halloween 2019. Judge Wilson was eventually asked by the Georgia Attorney General's office to step down from this case due to conflict of interest.
The murder case of Nicholas Phinazee Bryan was on the desks of three different circuits, it took over 2 years for justice to be served.
This accused murderer walked freely, for over 2 years, in Flovilla, Butts County, Georgia.

WHO WE LOST
NICHOLAS PHINAZEE BRYAN
January 14, 1992 - October 31, 2019
Nicholas, “Nick”, Phinazee Bryan, 27, of Milner, Georgia passed away October 31, 2019. He was born on January 14, 1992 in Griffin, GA. From birth, Nicholas always brought a loving smile and a helping hand to his family and all he encountered. Nicholas graduated from Lamar County High School in 2010, where he was a member of Skills USA.
Nicholas worked for BHW of Jonesboro, GA, and was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 85 Union. He also managed, maintained and operated his family’s land, Phinazee/Bryan Farms. There, just one month prior to his murder, he impassioned his bountiful energy, commitment and faith in his family as Site Operations Director for Wedstock 2019, in honor of his sister Crystal's marriage to Matt. It was his loving tribute to family and friends and will be remembered by all. Nicholas was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting turkeys, ducks and deer, from a very young age, harvesting many trophy mounts. His love of the outdoors, hunting and fishing, began on youth turkey hunts alongside his Mama and Daddy at Rum Creek WMA. He was a member of Rock Springs Church, where he was dedicated and baptized.
Nicholas built a full and loving life on his beautiful family land with high school sweetheart, Amber Jackson, and their sweet daughter Anabell Jade. He is also survived by his loving and devoted parents Kenneth and Brenda Bryan of Milner; his sister Crystal Bryan Hall and new brother-in-law, Matthew Hall of Kill Devil Hills, NC, and his extraordinarily special Uncle Mark Phinazee of Milner, who was so much more than an uncle. He also leaves behind many wonderful and close aunts, uncles, cousins, and “special” cousins, Rob, Mandy, Kayla, Autumn and Cousin Tyler, and so so many amazing friends, especially his best friend, Phillip Goggans.
Nicholas was a loving and devoted father, son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend, and will always be remembered by his bright, shining smile and his caring love for everyone.
